Free Digital Gifts for Random Acts of Kindness Week!

Random Acts of Kindness Week is February 14-20, 2021, and we have daily digital gifts to pass along to our followers. To start things off, the mission of The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation is to make kindness the norm™ in our schools, workplaces, homes & communities. We work toward that goal by creating free content that promotes kindness toward others & teaches important social emotional learning skills to kids. Head over to their website for free digital downloads like “Ways to be Kind” posters, kindness BINGO cards and age appropriate lesson plans all the way through high school!

We are so proud of our home state and have found many digital resources to brighten your days from local organizations.

Stand out in the crowd, even on your Zoom calls! The OKC Visitor Information Center has provided beautiful and interesting images from around our state’s capital that are ready to use for Zoom, Webex or your preferred video chat tool. If we were to choose one, the splash pad at Scissortail Park looks like the most fun, and because “Scissortail.” ;)

Top the afternoon off with a sweet treat from Sasquatch Shaved Ice and the littles will be singing your praises all the way home! To bring the experience home, here is a free coloring sheet for your child to create their own mural!

When you visit the Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum, it is a very emotional journey back to one of the most tragic days in our nation’s history. The exhibits also capture the reaffirming care of Oklahoman’s nature. One of the most overwhelming aspects of the memorial museum are the countless acts of kindness shown throughout our communities to reach out and rebuild each other’s hope. Oklahoma Standard is an initiative that shines awareness on this distinctive Oklahoma character trait and they have compiled a list of artifacts that highlight the good acts of kindness on a dark day. In this SmartBoards presentation, you can spend the quality time needed with your children to explain how Oklahoman’s respond when our community needs us.
